FEDERAL FARM BILL
How This is Legal
The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, commonly known as the Federal Farm Bill, removed hemp from the government’s list of controlled substances on the federal level.
Hemp vs. Marijuana
Hemp is defined as cannabis in various forms with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, officially distinguishing it from marijuana.
Farm Bill Compliant
All Natural Dragonfly Wellness products comply with the Federal Farm Bill and are made within the legal hemp guidelines.
Why THC Became Legal
THC became federally legal when hemp became legal in 2018. Restrictions were placed on Delta-9 THC levels, creating a legal path for hemp-derived products.
Edible Dry Weight
For edibles, the product must remain below 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight, meaning the size and weight of the edible affects how many milligrams can be included.
THCA Conversion
Cannabis starts with THCA, or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid. When heated or lit, it decarboxylates and converts into Delta-9 THC.
Delta-8 THC
Delta-8 THC is an isomer of CBD and Delta-9 THC. It is less potent milligram for milligram than Delta-9 THC.

CANNABIS EDUCATION
What is THC
THC, or delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, is the principal psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant.
The Psychoactive Compound
THC is the chemical responsible for the intoxicating “high” associated with marijuana. It acts on specific brain receptors to alter mood, behavior, and perception.
How It Works
THC mimics the body’s natural endocannabinoid neurotransmitters and binds to cannabinoid receptors in areas of the brain that affect pleasure, memory, thinking, concentration, coordination, and time perception.
Psychological Effects
Common psychological effects may include euphoria, relaxation, altered sensory perception, and a changed sense of time.
Physical Effects
Common physical effects may include increased heart rate, dry mouth, red eyes, and increased appetite, often referred to as the “munchies.”
Medical Uses
Synthetic and plant-derived forms of THC are used in medicine to help manage chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting and stimulate appetite in patients experiencing severe weight loss.
Forms of Consumption
THC can be consumed through smoking or vaporizing cannabis flower or concentrates, edibles like gummies and beverages, oils, tinctures, capsules, and topical products.

What is Kratom
Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) is a tropical tree native to Southeast Asia whose leaves contain naturally occurring compounds that interact with receptors in the brain.
What is Kratom?
Kratom is a tropical evergreen tree from Southeast Asia. Its leaves have been traditionally used for their stimulating and relaxing properties.
How It Works
Kratom’s active compounds interact with receptors in the brain, producing different effects depending on the amount consumed.
Low Dose Effects
Lower amounts are often associated with increased energy, alertness, focus, motivation, and sociability, similar to stimulant-like effects.
Higher Dose Effects
Larger amounts may produce calming effects, relaxation, reduced anxiety, and pain relief due to interactions with opioid receptors.
Opioid Receptor Activity
Kratom compounds bind to the same mu-opioid receptors targeted by substances such as morphine and codeine, although they act differently.
Active Compounds
The primary naturally occurring compounds in kratom are mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH), which are responsible for most of its effects.
